Grant Norman, Jr., age 64, of Bratton Loop, Morehead, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born September 10, 1950, at Barnshea, in Pike County, he was a son of the late Grant Norman, Sr., and Ola Allen Norman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and John Norman. Grant is survived by his wife, Flora A. (Annie) Lester Norman, whom he married September 2, 1969; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffery and Susan Norman of Hazard and Brian and Jeanne Norman of Hardy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Darren Puckett and Priscilla and Zachary Shrout, all of Morehead; 11 grandchildren, Brett Norman, Hollie and husband Stephen Rasche, Dylan Norman, Brian Gary Norman, Zachery Norman, Tyler and wife Merissa Griffith, Ashley Norman, Kayla Scott, Courtney Scott, Madison Shrout, and Makenna Shrout; 4 great grandchildren, Hannah Rasche, Adelynn Rasche, Beckham Griffith, and Raylin Norman; and extended family and friends. Grant was a retired foreman with Husky Mining in Pike County and is owner of Kids Will Be Kids in the Morehead Plaza. An avid U.K. basketball and football fan, he enjoyed boating, fishing, swimming, and spending time on Cave Run Lake with his family. He also enjoyed singing and playing the guitar and watching T.V. ministry. He loved the Lord and lived life to the fullest going from daylight until dark. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Norman Family Cemetery on Bratton Loop in Morehead. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
