Gracie Slusher Dillon Buchanan, age 74, of Lowell, Indiana, formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007, at her residence. She was born June 12, 1932, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Willie and Laura Kidd Slusher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Slusher, and three sisters, Rosie Davis, Carol Cagle, and Daisy Maggard. She is survived by her husband, Harold Buchanan, whom she married August 15, 1974; one son, James Dillon of Lowell, Indiana; one daughter, Kay Perry and husband Arlie of Morehead, Kentucky; one daughter-in-law, Diana Brown of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; one brother, Andy Slusher of Morehead, Kentucky; four sisters, Sarah Griffin of Lowell, Indiana, Ida Slone and Nola Kidd both of Morehead, Kentucky, and Nona Judy Black of Portland, Oregon. Also surviving are two grandsons, Brandon Dillon of Valparaiso, Indiana, and Blake Dillon of Lowell, Indiana, and one great-granddaughter, Payton Dillon of Paducah, Kentucky. Mrs. Buchanan was a retired glass inspector with Ball Glass Company in Dolton, Illinois. She enjoyed gardening and collecting dolls. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2007, at the Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. H.G. Pratt officiating; burial will follow in the Crix Cemetery in Morehead. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
