Gloria (Jeanie) Davis Johnston, age 62, of Shenkel Lane, Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009, at her residence. Born December 30, 1946, in Carter County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Harlan Luther and Clara Lee Brewster Davis. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ima Jean and Ernestine Davis and Opal Easton; two brothers, Harold and Hubert Davis; and one son, Marion Luther Lewis. She is survived by three sons, Darrell Wayne Lewis and his wife Faye, Mark Lewis, and Timothy Lewis, all of Frankfort, Kentucky; four daughters, Lora Smith and husband Donald, Anna Smith, Juanita Crouch and husband Pete, and Tammy Bailey, all of Frankfort, Kentucky; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers and their wives, Bobby and Mary Davis and Logan and Betty Davis of Morehead, Kentucky, Tommy and Zella Davis of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Harlen and Barb Davis of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; one sister and her husband, Marie and David Whitt of Morehead, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Jeanie was a Christian for many years. Her life revolved around family and church and she will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Lonnie Conn, Brother Wade Hughes, and Brother Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Manning Chapel Cemetery in Carter County. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
