Glinna J. Henderson Cox, age 78, of Bristol Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012, at her residence. She was born March 10, 1934, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Adam and Edna Waggoner Henderson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Faye Skaggs, and one brother, Roy F. (Jim) Henderson. Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband of 62 years, Allen W. Cox, whom she married July 9, 1949; three sons, Michael Cox of Morehead, Kentucky, John Cox and wife Shirley of Tucson, Arizona, and Christopher Cox and wife Bonnie of Sewickley, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Maria Terrell and husband Russell of Morehead, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Other survivors include one brother, Frank Henderson and wife Janice, two sisters, Myrtle Smith and husband Johnny, and Sharon Kidd and husband David, all of Morehead, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, and playing scrabble. Following Mrs. Cox's request, there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Claire Hospice, 222 Medical Circle, Morehead, Kentucky 40351. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
