Glennis Marvin Hitch, age 48, of Conn Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born July 11, 1959, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and is the son of Rebecca Whitt Hitch Winkleman and the late Glennis -Bill- Hitch. Marvin is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia Lyn Black Hitch, whom he married December 2, 1977; one son, Marvin Lee Hitch and wife Tiffany; one daughter, Rachel Lyn Hitch; his mother, Rebecca Whitt Hitch Winkleman and stepfather Clayton Winkleman, all of Morehead, Kentucky. Other survivors include two brothers, Steve Hitch and wife Sharon and John Paul Hitch and wife Tina; one sister, Kathy McGlone and husband James; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ivis and Shirley Kegley Black; one brother-in-law, Michael Black and wife Deborah, all of Morehead, Kentucky; and grandmother, Goldie Hitch of Elliott County, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father, Glennis -Bill- Hitch on June 23, 1988; his maternal grandparents; and one niece, Bridget Hitch. Marvin had been a sawmill operator, worked in the logwoods and was a farmer. He was a member of Jesus Christ House of Prayer Apostolic Faith. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James McGlone officiating. Burial will follow in the Hitch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Guy Reynolds, Ed Kidd, Darrell Hitch, James Hitch, Tony Hitch, Mike Black, Jeff Butler, and Chester Hitch.
