George Cofer Glendening, age 69, of Seas Branch, Morehead, passed away November 12, 2018, at his residence. Born June 27, 1949, in Webster Springs, West Virginia, he was a son of the late George Wilburt Glendening and Laura Margarita Cogar Glendening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Nicole Cannizzaro and one brother, Johnie Glendening. Mr. Glendening is survived by two daughters, Gina Lee Guerrero (Modesto) of Lehigh Acres, Florida, and Melanie Larson of Athens, Tennessee; one son, George William Glendening of Michigan; 14 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Other survivors include three sisters, Barbara Ackers (Norman) of Bolivar, Missouri, Pamela Conn of Lincoln Park, Michigan, and Debra Perez (Richard) of Wyandotte, Michigan; one brother, Harmon Glendening of Flat Rock, Michigan; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. George served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, was an autobody painter for Walt Lazar in Trenton, Michigan, for several years; and was a lifelong car enthusiast. He will be greatly missed by family. At his request, private family services will be held at a later date.
