Glenden Lee -Glen- Offill, age 73, of Porter Creek on State Hwy. 955 in Carter County, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at his residence. He was born September 7, 1937, in Carter County, Kentucky, son of the late Johnson and Oney Faye Goodman Offill. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant sister, Mildred Offill, and two brothers, infant Lloyd Offill and Roy D. Offill. Glen is survived by two brothers, Elmo Offill and Zerl Offill and his wife Thelma of Olive Hill, Kentucky; four sisters, Jewel Steagall of Mansfield, Ohio, Lola Mabry of Shelby, Ohio, Betty Rose of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Shirley Offill of Mansfield, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Glen especially enjoyed the outdoors, keeping his lawn mowed neatly, sitting on the porch, and spending time with his family. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers: Ricky Mabry, Dustin Kelley, Jason Rose, Tommy Mabry, Steve Smith, Christopher Brinley, Bill Plybon, and Michael Burton. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010, and any time prior to the service on Friday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Thursday, September 16, 2010, after 6 p.m. Funeral: Friday, September 17, 2010, at 2 p.m. Interment: Olive Hill Memorial Park Cemetery
