Glenda Fay Hardin, age 75, of Little Perry Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019, at St. Joseph East in Lexington.
Born December 22, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Wicker and Arlene Powell Wicker Goodman. Following the death of Eugene, Arlene married J. C. Goodman, who helped raise Glenda and was loved as a father. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley; two sons-in-law, Linn Brown and Keith Hall; and a great grandson, Easton Smith.
Glenda is survived by three daughters, Lesa Brown, Greta Poe (Bill), and Darlene Hall, all of Morehead; one son, David Thomas (Kelly) of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, B.G, Brittney, Clay, Jessie, Georgia, Kendall, and Boone; and four great grandchildren, Michael, Jackson, Leah, and Sebastian.
Other survivors include two sisters, Judy Cotter of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Mary Jo Hester of Jonesboro, Arkansas, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Glenda retired from St. Claire Regional Medical Center as an environmental services supervisor. She was an accomplished seamstress who was well known for her perfection in upholstering, making wedding gowns, and altering clothing of all kinds. Although she enjoyed her work and her friends, she derived the greatest pleasure from her family. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally and treasured the happy times spent with them. She will be lovingly remembered by all.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Stanley Click officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers: Andrew Click, Bill Poe, Clay Hall, Nate Adams, B. G. Poe, Justin Cotter, and Gary Wells.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
