Obituary

Gladys Wireman Dehart, age 73, of Morehead, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at UK St. Claire Hospital in Morehead. She was born April 23, 1951, at Trace Branch in Magoffin County and was the youngest of eight children born to the late Bradley Wireman and Mary Howard Wireman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, June Dehart; her first husband and father of her children, Darrell Adams; two sisters, Delphia Miller and Betty Davis; and three brothers, Barnes Wireman, JC Wireman, and Jimmy Wireman.

Gladys is survived by her three children, Darlene (Anthony) Taulbee of Campton, J D Adams, and Michael (Denise) Adams, all of Olive Hill; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

Other survivors include one sister, Sue Crase of West Liberty; one brother, Tony (Donna) Wireman; one sister-in-law, Brenda Wireman, all of West Liberty; a special cat, Opossum; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends to mourn her passing.

She was a 20-year employee for Clark Chevron in Morehead and was of the Christian faith. Her work ethic, strength and integrity were unmatched. She was still working and had worked the day before she passed.

Gladys was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and sister-in-law. She loved all animals and enjoyed going and listening to Bluegrass music, gardening, and spending time with family. She was loved by so many people and the constant provider of unconditional love for her family. Gladys will be   remembered always and greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2025, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Raymond VanCleve officiating. Burial will follow in Fraley – Osborne Cemetery on Kegley Ridge.

Pallbearers:  Nicholas Adams, Shawn Blair, Derek Taulbee, Devin Taulbee, Michael Peters, and Caston Stacy.  Honorary pallbearers:  Tony Wireman and employees of Clark Chevron.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2025, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
