Gladys Eleanor Pennington Crockett, age 79, of Heritage Place, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2008, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born September 3, 1929, in Leckie, West Virginia, she was the only child of the late Robert Edward and Francis Viola Lambert Pennington, and was raised by her grandmother, the late Rachel Lambert. Her husband, Burl Crockett, preceded her in death on May 12, 2001. Survivors include one son, Thomas Crockett and his wife Misty of Clearfield, Kentucky; two daughters, Violet Hill of Caneyville, Kentucky, and Kelia Ison and her husband Denver of Morehead, Kentucky; and six grandchildren, Dalton Crockett, Tyler Hill, Heather Hill, Jacob Ison, Burl Ison, and Katie Ison. Mrs. Crockett was a homemaker and retired caregiver and foster parent. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Danny Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Brian Johnson, Shane Johnson, John Johnson, Tony Stigall, Scotty Purnell, and Denver Ison.
