Gisele King Gilbert, age 67, of Rosedale Road, Morehead, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born December 16, 1955, in Morehead, she was a daughter of the late Arnold King and Talmage Skaggs King. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Loren Randell Gilbert, on June 3, 2019.

Survivors to cherish her memory include her only daughter, Stephanie Gilbert Purvis, and son-in-law, Russell Purvis, and two grandchildren, Lexan Loren Gilbert and Luke Ashton Purvis.  She is also survived by her sister, Leona Knight of Morehead; brother, Dennis King and wife Rose of Lexington; nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Gisele retired in 1999 from the State of Kentucky Cabinet for Human Resources as a supervisor.  She enjoyed traveling with family, playing card games, and enjoying the beauty of nature tending to her flowers.  One of her favorite activities was spending time with her loving family, including her poodle "Piper," her constant companion who brought much joy to her life.

Gisele will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Herbert D. Lewis officiating.  Burial will follow in King Cemetery on Rosedale Road with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
