Gertrude Trent, age 84, of North Mill Branch Road, Clearfield, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018, at Life Care Center in Morehead. She was born April 26, 1934, in Elliott County, a daughter of the late Harrison and Gladys Howard Trent. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma Jean Trent Stewart, Elizabeth Trent Holloway, and Shirley Faye Trent Ramey, and three brothers, Omer Trent, Hobert Trent, and Cecil Trent. Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Craft and husband Dale, and one granddaughter, Sara Beth Lowe, all of Morehead, and two step grandchildren, Robert Craft of Olive Hill and Casey Craft of Bristol, Tennessee. Other survivors include two brothers, Wales Trent and wife Thelma of Morehead and Harrison Trent, Jr., of Wayne, Michigan; a brother-in-law, Orbie Ramey; a sister-in-law, Kathy Trent; and special friend, John Litz, all of Morehead, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Gertrude was a former sales clerk at Heck's and Maloney's department stores and was a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God. She loved fishing, flower gardening, and cooking. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow in Clearfield Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Trent, Mike Trent, Jim Tom Trent, Jacob Plank, Gil Spahn, Dale Craft, and Wendell Skaggs.
