Obituary

Gerald H. Stephens, age 76, of Fawns Lane, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, died at his residence on Tuesday, September 16, 2008. He was a native of Glasgow, Kentucky, a retired truck driver, member of the Teamsters Union, member of the Masonic Lodge, and former member of the Montgomery County Senior Citizens. He was a member of the Spring Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leda Clay Wingate Stephens. Survivors include one son, Jerry (Patsy) Stephens of Morehead, Kentucky; one daughter, Shelia F. (Jerry) Bugg of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; his fianc-e, Charlene Patton of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; one brother, Raymond Stephens of Jeffersonville, Kentucky; and one sister, Betty Sorrell of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jerry Gayler (Julie) Stephens of Morehead, Kentucky, Earl Gerome Stephens of Louisville, Kentucky and Bobbie Sue (Rob) Campbell of London, Kentucky; and two great grandchildren, Macey Nichole Campbell and Layden Thomas Stephens. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 20. 2008, at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel, 109 E. Main St., Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353, with the Rev. John Runyon officiating. Interment will follow in the Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2008, and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2008, with Masonic Rites at 7 p.m. on Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of Taul Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Visitation: Thursday, September 18, 2008, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, September 20, 2008, at Interment: Machpelah Cemetery
