Georgia Ann Bair Staton, age 90, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, January 7, 2008, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born February 21, 1917, in Leadingham, Kentucky, to the late Jackson Berlin Bair and Susan Rebecca Lemasters Bair. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Virgil Bair; one sister, Zada Johnson; one son, Elzie Joe Staton in 1937; one daughter, Alice Lucille Staton Daily in 2003; and four grandchildren: David, Wayne, and Kimberly Perry and Vicki Davis. Her husband of 38 years, Paul Staton, whom she married in 1932, preceded her in death in January, 1970. Survivors include one son, Harley Staton and wife Ann of Summerville, South Carolina; one daughter, Corene Caudill and husband Franklin of Morehead, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gary McQuain officiating.
