Georgia Hogge McKenzie, age 76, of Farmers, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014, at her daughter's home in Sandy Hook. She was born June 7, 1937, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was a daughter of the late Charles Wilson and Sue Clark Hogge. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeff Hogge and Jerry Hogge, and three sisters, Brenda Long, Renda Kay Hogge, and Shirley Gayle Hogge. Her husband, William Billey McKenzie, passed away April 18, 2011. She is survived by four daughters, Jennifer and husband Jimmy Capps of Jeffersonville, Cassandra McKenzie of Sandy Hook, Sandra McKenzie and Melissa McKenzie, both of Morehead; seven grandchildren, Racheal, Michael, William, Megan, Braxton, Chassity, and Tecoa; and four great grandchildren, Tyler, Brooklynn, Taylor, and Elizabeth. Georgia is also survived by one brother, Billy Joe Hogge of Marion, Indiana; three sisters, Peggy Hawley of Rochester Hills, Michigan, Mary Sue Crouch of Salt Lick, and Kitty McQueen of Marion, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. She was an inspector at A. O. Smith for 37 years and following her retirement was a Guardian Industries employee for 13 years. Georgia enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Capps, William Neal, Justin Kelley, Kevin Turner, Robert Jennings, and Logan Royce.
