George William Reed, age 71, of Parkside Court, Morehead passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017, at his home. Born October 8, 1945, in Pike County, he was the son of the late John B. and Dorothy Mounts Reed. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel T. "Bo" Reed, and one sister, Ina Stallard. William is survived by one brother, John Reed and his wife Jeanne, of Morehead; three sisters, Ella Thurston of Louisville, Barbara Ramey of Clearfield, Edith Roe and her husband Louis of Paintsville; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. William loved his home and enjoyed spending time with family. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Carlos Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Visitation is noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
