George Ann Bishop King, age 64, of Larkwood Avenue, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Born November 28, 1946, in Fayette County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late George D. Bishop and Mildred Pearl Dearinger Bishop. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul King, and two daughters, Glenda and Linda Savage. Mrs. King is survived by four daughters, Sherry Whittaker and husband Richard of Georgetown, Kentucky, Millie Shill Towles and husband Lee of Lexington, Kentucky, Kimberly Willis of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and Connie King, of Lexington, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Michael and Tyler Shill, Mikki and C. J. Willis, William King II, Sherry King Slone, David Loveday, and John Robert Manley; two step granddaughters, Stacy and Chrystal Towles; and five great grandchildren. Mrs. King was a retired lab technician, former employee of Mt. Sterling City Cab, and a member of Harmony Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dean Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Clarmont Memorial Gardens, Winchester, Kentucky. Pallbearers: George Tackett, Sr., George Tackett, Jr., Bill Phelps, Danny Townsend, Roach Myers, Ronnie Myers, Al Stull, and Josh Reed.
