Geneva -Gib- Yaden Adams, age 86, of Vicki Lane, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born February 19, 1926, in Cumberland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Cecil and Minnie Seal Yaden. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Garris, and three brothers, Robert, Bill, and Emory Yaden. Her husband, Curtis -Duke- Adams, passed away on November 8, 2000. Mrs. Adams is survived by one daughter, Kathy Armstrong and husband Rick of Morehead, Kentucky; two sons, Ken Adams and wife Jim Anne of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and Chuck Adams and wife Teresa of Morehead, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Jake Adams, Amanda Adams, Rebecca Adams, Abby Thomas, Dustin Adams, and Chase Armstrong; and five great grandchildren, Aiden Adams, Clay Houp, Charley Anne Thomas, Hudson Armstrong, and Braxton Adams. A homemaker and Wal-Mart retiree, Gib enjoyed working, bowling, and following her children-s and grandchildren-s activities, especially their ballgames. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Rick Stone officiating. Burial will follow in the Armstrong Family Cemetery in Clearfield. Grandsons, great grandsons, Walt Cassity and Jesse McHugh will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2012, and any time prior to the service on Saturday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
