Obituary

Geneva Wooten McClurg, age 87, of Kimberly Lane, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born June 5, 1922, in Knott County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Harrison and Mae Burge Wooten. In additions to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Lavina Chapman and Virginia North. Her husband, Harry Hurston McClurg, preceded her in death on February 13, 2005. She is survived by one son, Lee Roy McClurg and wife Julie of Morehead, Kentucky; one daughter, Phyllis Hileman and husband Harold of Arcanum, Ohio; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include five brothers, Clifford Wooten of Bluestone, Kentucky, Charles Wooten of Texas, Michael Wooten and Clyde Wooten both of Indiana, and Sonny Wooten of Morehead, Kentucky, and three sisters, Sharon Blevins of Bluestone, Kentucky, Beverly Chapman of Morehead, Kentucky, and LaVern Wenizer and husband Carl of Marysville, Missouri. Mrs. McClurg was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Danny McClurg, Bruce McClurg, Ein Lee McClurg, Zach McClurg, Randy Chapman, and Chad Bailey. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Friday, September 11, 2009, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, September 12, 2009, at 11 a.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
