Gene Sidney (Sid) Stevens, age 72, of Farmers, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born October 8, 1934, in Farmers, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Harry and Olive Tyree Stevens. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Lloyd -Bud- Stevens and one sister, Norma June Brammer. He is survived by one brother, Lynden Stevens and wife Judy of Morehead, Kentucky; one sister, Theda Craig, wife of the late Danny Craig, of Farmers; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and one great nephew. Sid was the owner and operator of Sid-s Country Store in Farmers for more than 20 years. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in Slaty Point Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ken Wilson, Tim Stevens, Larry Stevens, Don Stevens, Roger Stevens, and Philip Craig.
