Gaylon Lee Marshall, age 77, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026, after an extended illness.
Born September 28, 1948, in Carter County, he was the son of the late Ercel Lee Marshall and Mary Irene Meade Marshall.
Gaylon is survived by his loving wife, Catherine May King Marshall; four stepchildren, Kenneth Ray Lehigh of Olive Hill, Wayne Eugene Lehigh of Lake Alfred, Florida, Sandra Kay Hernandez (Damion) of Polk City, Florida, and Judy Lynn Lehigh (John Verdi) of Olive Hill; and his beloved dog “Rex”.
Also surviving is a special aunt, Pauline Holbrook, and her son, Kenneth, both of Carter County; special cousins, Paul Conn (Mary), Calvin Conn, Pauline Maddox, and Eugena Dailey, as well as other extended family and friends.
Gaylon retired from the maintenance department at Life Care Center. He also formerly worked at St. Claire Medical Center and at a nursing home in Florida. In his free time, he enjoyed playing bingo, attending car shows, bowling, and working puzzles. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family and friends. Gaylon will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Clifford "Tippy" Price officiating. Burial will follow in Conn Family Cemetery, 124 Enterprise Lane, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Lehigh, John Verdi, Jason Brewer, Calvin Conn, Paul Conn, and Bryan Conn.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
