Gary Joseph Parris, age 53, of Country Estates, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away January 9, 202, at his residence.

He was born April 24, 1967, in Hollywood, Florida, and is the son of Pamela Schmidt DeWitt of Morehead, Kentucky, and the late John Frederick Parris.

In addition to his mother, Gary is survived by a brother, Kenneth Paris, and a sister, Jacqueline Berlinn, both in California, a brother, Bill DeWitt in Morehead, and a brother, Patrick DeWittt in Florida.  Other survivors include several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him tremendously.

Besides his father, Gary was preceded in death by William R. DeWitt, whom he considered a father, and two brothers, Kevin DeWitt and Thomas Harrison.

Gary was a fun loving, big hearted guy who loved people and always went out of his way to help everyone—including strangers.  He appreciated the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He also loved listening to Rock music.  He will be lovingly remembered.
