Frieda Gilliam Cartwright, age 79, of Bluestone Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010, at Clark County Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky. Born February 9, 1931, in Carter County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Green and Cora Waddell Gilliam. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin (Joe) Cartwright, who passed away May 23, 2003. Mrs. Cartwright is survived by two daughters, Teresa Hatton and husband Fred of Winchester, Kentucky, and Terri Mynhier of Morehead, Kentucky; two brothers; Ray Gilliam and Mike Gilliam, both of Morehead, Kentucky; and five grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, R. J., Kendra, and Zander. Visitation is Tuesday, December 28, 2010, from 4 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Mike Clark officiating. A private burial will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jimmy Epperhart, Fred Hatton, David Gilliam, Paul Gilliam, Danny Ray Gilliam, and Vaughn Gilliam. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
