Obituary

Fredia Adkins Armstrong, age 90, of Deer Run Lane, Morehead, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Friday, November 8, 2024, at her daughter's home.

She was born February 4, 1934, in Elkfork, Morgan County, Kentucky, to the late Willie Adkins and the late Edna Rowland Adkins.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clester L. "Booge" Armstrong; her brother, Arnold Adkins; her sisters, Anna Ferguson and Donna Ferguson; her sons, Rick Armstrong and Preston Armstrong; and her son-in-law, Rick Bradley.

Fredia is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Bradley; her son, Stefan Armstrong (Anna); her daughters-in-law, Kathy Armstrong and Susan Armstrong; her brother, Gary Adkins (Janet); and her grandchildren, Dana Quesinberry (John), Chase Armstrong (Kim), Michael Armstrong (Jennifer), Brandon Armstrong, Jennifer Armstrong, and Rob Armstrong (Kendra).  She also survived by her seven great-grandchildren, Will Quesinberry (Shelby), Maggie Whitman (Jordan), Hudson Armstrong, Duke Armstrong, Zachary Armstrong, Khloe Armstrong, and Olivia Armstrong, and four great-great-grandchildren, Junior, Millie, and Billie Quesinberry and Eliza Whitman.  She is also survived by her two stepchildren, Butch Armstrong (Debbie) and Debbie Mikell (Larry).

Fredia was a homemaker and loving mother to her children and "babysitter" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  During her good health, she gathered her family to celebrate everyone's birthdays and holidays.  Christmas Eve was always spent with family at her home.  In the summer, her pool was the place of family fun.  She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.  Immediately following visitation, a celebration of Fredia's life will be held at 3:30 p.m. with family presiding.

Burial will be in the Armstrong Family Cemetery with grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers: Michael Armstrong, Brandon Armstrong, Chase Armstrong, Rob Armstrong, Will Quesinberry, Hudson Armstrong, Duke Armstrong, Zachary Armstrong.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations honoring Fredia be made to STAR – Saving the Animals of Rowan, P O Box 454, Morehead, KY 40351.
