Freda June Patrick Tussey, age 78, of Morehead, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2022, at her residence following a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends as she went to be with the Lord.

Freda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a faithful Baptist and enjoyed attending local churches and traveling to camp meetings with her friends.

She was born June 10, 1944, in Fleming County, and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Bessie Lewis Patrick of Isonville.

Freda is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Curtis; daughters, Tina (Jamie) Preece of Isonville, Tonya (John) Prince of Nicholasville, and Paige (Anthony) Cantrell of Morehead; grandchildren, Jacob (Taylor) Preece, Lynzee (Alex) Bush, Jayde (Jacob) Ison, Sydnee (Cameron) Moore, Caden Cantrell, and Taylor Prince; great-grandchildren, Vivian Bush and Leah Preece; one brother, Bill Patrick; one sister, Juanita Miller, both of Morehead; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that will mourn her passing.

Freda was a much-loved teacher at Isonville Elementary School for 27 years. After retirement, her greatest joys were traveling with family and friends, camping, and hosting family gatherings where she took great pleasure in entertaining loved ones.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jack Hinton and Rev. James DeAtley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Numerous loved ones who were touched by her life will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
