Franklin Delano Roe, age 77, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Born December 12, 1940, in Elliott County, he was a son of the late Charley and Lula Skaggs Roe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Chloe Trent Roe on March 3, 1992; six brothers, Glen, Noah, Eldon, Denver, Edgar, and Charles Roe; and one sister, Murrel Perkins. He is survived by one son, Randall F. (Connie) Roe of Clawson, Michigan; two daughters, Cathy A. (Robert) Hanson of Whitmore Lake, Michigan, and Cynthia L. Roe of Lexington; three grandchildren, Jessee, Amber, and Ashley; three great grandchildren, Jacob, Olivia, and Cole; and companion, Karen Ann Bruce of Ypsilanti, Michigan. Also surviving are two sisters, Marie (Ben) Reffett of Union City, Indiana, and Doreen (Tommy) Eldridge of Hamilton, Ohio; one brother, Garland (Geraldine) Roe of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews. Franklin was a retired supervisor from the Ford Rawsonville Plant in Ypsilanti, after 39 years of service. He never met a stranger and lived life to the fullest-always joking, enjoying fun and fellowship with family and friends, playing poker and watching basketball. He especially appreciated the great outdoors. Franklin will be lovingly remembered. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Virgil Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Randall Roe, Robert Hanson, Garland Roe, Gary Roe, Troy Perkins, and Jerry Perkins. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
