Frances Linda Patton, age 73, of Milton, West Virginia, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Hospice House of Huntington, in Huntington, WV.

She was born January 11, 1951, in Charleston, West Virginia, a beloved daughter of the late Lowell David Patton and Margaret Ruth Sutphin Patton Payne.  In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Patton and Joyce Patton.

She is survived by two devoted and loving sisters, Dolly Patton Click (David) and Evaughn Patton Jenami, and numerous extended family and friends.

Frances was a passionate social services worker for a number of years in various states including YWCA-Sojourners Homeless Shelter in Charleston, WV, and other shelters for battered women and children, rape crisis centers and shelters for the homeless. She was a strong advocate for women during her entire life.  Frances proudly served her country in the U.S. Army.  A spiritual person, she was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Gordon Sutphin officiating.  Burial will follow in Patton Cemetery in Soldier, Kentucky.
