Frances Jackson Hunt, age 85, of West High Street, Mt. Sterling, KY, widow of Harry D. Hunt, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010, at St. Joseph-Mt.Sterling. Born September 10, 1925, in Bath County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Stella Parks Jackson. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Glenna Henry, and one brother, Kenneth Jackson. Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Hunt, Paula Hunt, and Ellen Hunt (Kellie) Poe; two grandsons, Matthew (Jennifer) Colliver and Nolan (Cassie) Colliver; one great grandson, Logan Colliver II; and three nieces, Merilyn Kern, Lisa Fruth, and Christie Brewer, all of Mt. Sterling, KY. Mrs. Hunt was a former Bell South telephone operator, homemaker, and member of the First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, October 25, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Wilson and Pastor Kellie Poe officiating. Interment will be in Machpelah Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Colliver, Nolan Colliver, Ralph Kern, Jeff Dombroskas, Phil Holley, and Bob Butler. Honorary pallbearers will be Shaun Kern, Logan Colliver II, Dr. Ed Roberts, Dr. C. Randy Jones, and Dr. Danielle King. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2010, at the Church. Contributions are suggested to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 725, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, KY 40351.
