Fostella Pennington Winkle, age 88, of Richmond, Indiana, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2020.

She was born on March 12, 1932, in   Elliott County, Kentucky, to the late Arthur and Elsie Harris Pennington.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Winkle; one son, Kenny Watson; one daughter, Sandy Turner; three step sons, Kenny, Michael, and David Winkle; and three brothers, Medford, Edgar, and Lowell Pennington.

She was a homemaker and truly enjoyed sewing quilts with her mother in her early years, spending time with family, and took up coloring in later years.

She is survived by one daughter, Edwina Winkle of Richmond, Indiana; one son, Jeff Watson (Linda) of Morehead, Kentucky; two step sons, Wendell Winkle and Terry Winkle, both of Elliott County, Kentucky; one step daughter, Joy Adams of Ohio; three brothers, Denvil Pennington and Donald Pennington, both of Morehead, and Van Pennington of Guysville, Ohio; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals with funeral services immediately following at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr., officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pennington Cemetery on Big Brushy Road.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
