Foley Ray McKinney, age 72, of McBrayer Road, Clearfield, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born May 21, 1941, at Bangor, Kentucky, in Rowan County, a son of the late Elbert Chester McKinney and Bertha Mae Hall McKinney. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Oshel, and Joe McKinney. Foley is survived by his wife, Wanda Anderson McKinney, whom he married July 3, 1985; two sons, Tony and Tammy McKinney of Morehead, Terry and Amy McKinney of Asheville, North Carolina; one stepson, Michael and Ellen Bowman of Morehead; one daughter, Marsha R. Davis of Morehead; one stepdaughter, Teresa and Chuck Adams of Morehead. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Blair McKinney, Krista Havens, Derek Davis, Kyle McKinney, Cody McKinney, Brett McKinney, Bryce McKinney; two great grandchildren, Mason and Easton Havens and Gunner Nash, expected in November; four step grandchildren, Abby Thomas, Dustin Adams, Matthew Isaac Bowman, and Nicholas Bowman; two step great grandchildren, Charley Anne Thomas and Braxton Adams. Other survivors include two sisters, Joyce and Rev. Guy McKenzie of Salt Lick, and Betty and Larry Twarek of Marblehead, Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn McKinney and Phyllis Pope, both of Morehead and Peggy Smith of California; one brother-in-law, James Anderson of Irvine; many nieces and nephews; extended family members; and friends. Foley loved serving the public and was a well-known and respected businessman. He started his career as an employee for Sinclair, Gene's Ashland and Caudill Tire. For more than 25 years, he was affiliated with his own businesses: Foley's Tire and Auto, Consolidated Tire, Foley and Garry's Tire; Foley and Dana's Tire, and Morehead Tire and Auto. In addition to enjoying his work, Foley enjoyed going to ballgames, gardening, and hunting. He was dearly loved by his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ben Furman and Terry McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Purvis Cemetery. Pallbearers: Bryce McKinney, Brett McKinney, Matthew Bowman, Nicholas Bowman, Dustin Adams, Derek Davis, Mark Twarek, and Chuck Adams. Visitation is 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Tuesday, October 1, 2013, 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral: Wednesday, October 2, 2013, 2 p.m. Interment: Purvis Cemetery
