Obituary

Floyd William Pickrell, age 89, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, formerly of Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. He was born September 13, 1922, in Hillsboro, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Henry Thomas and Lena Rivers Lewis Pickrell. Mr. Pickrell is survived by his wife, Mable Marie Black Pickrell, whom he married September 27, 1947; one son, Floyd David Pickrell and wife Edna of Clayton, North Carolina; two daughters, Donna Pickrell and Pamela Hope Simmons, both of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; two sisters, Viola Riddle and husband James of Owingsville, Kentucky, and Violet Conyers of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren. He was a retired press operator at Hobart Corporation and a member of the Church of the Harvest in Mt. Sterling. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Marion Fawns and Rev. Lowell Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Joey Griggs, Cody Griggs, Tyler Griggs, Ricky Lewis, Tim Smith, James Collett, Dalton Collett, and Brandon Bush. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Friday, April 6, 2012, after 6 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 2 p.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
