Obituary

Flora Mae Perry Carroll Edmiston, age 82, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at her home. Born June 10, 1933, in Abraham, West Virginia, Flora was a daughter of Hobart and Gertrude Arthur Perry. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Carrie Jennings, Johnny Perry and Charles Perry. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Linda (Steven) Allen of Avilla, Indiana, Rita (Gregory) Bedore of Wallingford, Malcom Alan Carroll of Hazel Green and Eugene (Robin) Carroll of Frenchburg and their father, Malcom Carroll of Hazel Green; 7 grandchildren: Sharlene Morrow, Jennifer Carroll, Tiffany Banks, Aimee Boykin, Jason Carroll, Daniel Carroll, and Katilyn Carroll; and 13 great grandchildren. Other survivors include 4 siblings, Katherine Reband of Morehead, Betty Rigsby, Audrey Fugate, and Harold Perry, all of Blairs Mills; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Flora was a retired state social worker and a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Day Cemetery in Blairs Mills. James Jennings, Carter Wilkinson, Zachary Ryan, Brett Ryan, Anthony Mays and Tim Riddle will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is Thursday, February 11, 2016, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
