Faron David Ison, age 66, of Pruetts Fork Road, Sandy Hook, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born August 10, 1955, in West Liberty, he was a son of late Bennie and Edna Roberts Ison.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Ison and Bethel Ison, and two sisters, Mary Ann Hamilton and Dorthlene Fugate.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary Ann Smith Ison, whom he married June 19, 1990; one son, Michael Ray Ison of Flemingsburg; one brother, Ernie Ison of West Liberty; two sisters, Elsie Salyer of West Liberty and Ina Whitt of Florence; six grandchildren; two special nieces, Chelsea and Josie Smith; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

David was a farmer and logger and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
