Evelyn Marie Thacker Mays, age 78, of Canyon Ridge Road, Wellington, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born July 22, 1942, in Norton, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William Jessie Thacker and Pearl Wells Thacker.

She is survived by one daughter, Vickie Day of Wellington; two sons, Greg Miles of Norton, Virginia, and Curtis Mays of Hopewell, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Adam Miles, Matthew Mays, Michael Mays, Christopher Mays, Alexus Mays, Angel Moore, and Oscar Keller, Jr.; and three great grandchildren, Zane, Abigail, and Owen.

Mrs. Mays was a retired accountant in Chesterfield County, Virginia, and enjoyed listening to country music and spending time with her family.

A memorial service will be held on her birthday July 22, 2021, in Prince George, Virginia.  Her family and friends will officiate. A special thanks to Amy Perkinson.
