Evalee Wilder Smedley, age 83, of Soldier, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013, at her residence. She was born March 7, 1930, in Morgan County, Kentucky, and was a daughter of the late Walter and Gusta Whitt Wilder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, James E. 'Jimmy' Smedley and David Kenneth Smedley, and two daughters, Lucille Carroll and Carol Cook. Her husband, Murlin Smedley, passed away August 23, 1993. Mrs. Smedley is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Renae Smedley of Morehead, Kentucky; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Paul Hussey of Owingsville, Kentucky, and Teresa and Jamey Lee of Olive Hill, Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Willie Allen, and Beulah and Millard Whitt, all of West Liberty, Kentucky; one brother and sister-in-law, Everett and Marcella Wilder of Wrigley, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Smedley was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Inc. with the Rev. Eugene Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Wilder Cemetery in Wrigley, Kentucky. Pallbearers: Brandon Lee, Joseph Lee, Adison Whitt, Larry Wade Mynhier, Michael Smedley, Kenneth Wagoner, and Tyler Hussey. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Tuesday, August 6, 2013, after 6 p.m. Funeral: Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at 3 p.m. Interment: Wilder Cemetery, Wrigley, KY
