Eva Frances Luman Cox, age 87, of Maxey Flat Road, Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018, at her residence. Born May 9, 1931, in Fleming County, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Hazel Roberts Luman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Randall Paul Cox and Joyce Hopkins Cox; two brothers, Elwood and Stanley Luman; and one sister, Norma Jean Luman Reeves. Her husband of 57 years, Cleddith "Keed" Cox, whom she married January 26, 1952, also preceded her in death on November 30, 2009. She is survived by one son, Michael Wayne Cox and wife Angela of Maxey Flat; two daughters, Janice Cox Story and husband Michael, and Debbie Cox, all of Maxey Flat; four granddaughters, Rebecca (Mike) McIntosh, Rachel (Skylar) Webb, Kristina (Adam) Hinton, and Alicia (Shane) Kiser; and nine great grandchildren, Cameron and Micah Jo Hinton, Shelby and Jaden Webb, Alexis McIntosh Story, Lindsay McIntosh, and Hudson, Nash and Navy Kiser. Other survivors include one sister, Carol Emmons of Flemingsburg; a host of nieces and nephews, other family, and many friends. Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and dedicated her life to serving God and caring for her family. She was a member of the Crain Creek Christian Church since 1952. Frances and her husband enjoyed growing large gardens and sharing with family and friends, canning, and babysitting for family and neighbors. She will be greatly missed by her family who loved her dearly. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Hutton Funeral Home with the Rev. Darry Cooper and the Rev. Jack Hinton officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Story, Adam Hinton, Cameron Hinton, Shane Kiser, Mike McIntosh, and Skylar Webb.
