Eunice Kathleen Hargis Thompson, 60, of Morehead, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Elliottville on January 15, 1956, to John Robert and Kathleen Turner Hargis. She was predeceased by her parents, and a sister, Karen Suzanne (David) Richardson. Kathy is survived by her sons, Jeremy (Cecelia) Armstrong and John Thompson; grandson, Liam Armstrong; and granddaughter, Aubree Thompson, all of Morehead, KY. Other survivors include life partner, Robert Turner, and his daughter, Stephanie (Matt) Rawlings, and granddaughter, Grace Rawlings; siblings, Dorothy (Larry) Holbrook, John (Deborah) Hargis, Walter (Emma) Hargis, Sally (John) Malley, Stephen (Kim) Hargis, Gerald (Laura) Hargis, David Hargis, Debby Ormond and Cheryl (Roger) Snyder; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kathy graduated from Rowan County High School. She was an avid reader, loved music, UK Basketball, and held Jesus on high in her heart. She loved her family unconditionally, cherished spending time with her grandchildren, and always enjoyed a 'cold glass of Pepsi.' She will be remembered for her enduring faith in Jesus Christ, her sense of humor, her contagious smile, and her deep love for life.
