Eula Crisp Spurlock, age 100, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Owingsville Manor in Owingsville, Kentucky.

She was born January 18, 1921, at Allen in Floyd County, Kentucky, a daughter of Felix and Etta Ruth Akers Crisp.  She was preceded in death by her wonderful parents, her beloved brothers, Obie and Ray Crisp, and son-in-law Alan Buick.

Eula spent her idyllic childhood in Allen and graduated from Prestonsburg High School.  She attended Morehead State Teachers College and had an outstanding career as an elementary school teacher in Allen, KY, and Springfield, OH.

She was married to her high school sweetheart, Homer B. Spurlock for 36 years.  He passed away in 1973.

Eula is survived by her daughters, Judy Buick of North Palm Beach, Florida, and Charlotte (Mike) Parr of New Palestine, Indiana; 6 grandchildren, Michael (Dawn), Patrick, Jeff (Amy), Bryan (Kasey), Melissa (Jay) and Kathy; 8 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Eula spent her last years at Owingsville Manor, where she received exceptional care and was blessed by the love and care provided by the wonderful staff. The family would like to give special thanks to Polly Lewis, Joyce Vice, Yvonne Edwards, and Juleda Alexander. Eula was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Kentucky.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
