Eula M. Sloan Osborne Conley, age 84, of Evergreen Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011, at the Life Care Center in Morehead. Born March 5, 1927, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Ellen Trent Sloan. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Audrey Pennington, Ivory Crose, and Stella Fraley; four brothers, Glennis Sloan, Fonzie Sloan, Lonnie Sloan, and Harold Slone; her first husband, John Osborne; her second husband, George Lester Conley; and one daughter, Christine Kidd. Mrs. Conley is survived by two sons, David (Deanna) Osborne of Morehead, Kentucky, and Ricky (Dorothy) Osborne of Olive Hill, Kentucky; seven daughters, Pauline (George) Bowling of Hickman, Kentucky, Verleen (Troy) Adkins of Morehead, Kentucky, Kathleen (Earnie) Purnell of Morehead, Kentucky, Thelma (Jack) Smith of Batavia, Ohio, Barbara (Woody) Estep of Carlisle, Ohio, Irene Fultz of Morehead, Kentucky, and Marcella (Larry) Hamm of Elliottville, Kentucky; four stepchildren, Roy (Joyce) Conley of Paducah, Kentucky, Jerry (Glenda) Conley of Winnsboro, Louisiana, Rick (Peggy) Conley of Cayce, Kentucky, Patsy (John) Garza of Portage, Indiana, Bob (Loretta) Conley of Fulton, Kentucky; 43 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Additional survivors include three brothers, Denny Sloan and Kenny Sloan, both of Globe, Kentucky, and Richard Sloan of Olive Hill, Kentucky; four sisters, Ilene Dehart of Elliottville, Kentucky, Maxine Dehart, Guyann Mabry and Louise Adkins, all of Morehead, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews.Eula greatly loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to her children sing, cooking, working in her flowers, gardening, and bowling. She was a member of the New Home Christian Church and formerly attended the Church of Jesus Christ in Portage, Indiana. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ray Glover and Rev. Larry Hamm officiating. Burial will follow at the Trent Cemetery on Rainbow Road. Pallbearers will be grandsons Michael Fultz, Daniel Fultz, Richard Winkleman, Dewayne Thomas, John Osborne and David J. Osborne.
