Eula Mae Nickell Christy, age 75, of Christy Creek, Morehead, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015, at her residence. Born August 17, 1940, in Morehead, she was a daughter of the late Allie and Stella Kiser Nickell. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Dehart, and two brothers, Carl Kiser and Joe Lewis. Eula is survived by her husband, John Christy, whom she married April 26, 1958; one son, Carl Christy and wife Denise of Morehead; one daughter, Cathy Christy of Morehead; five grandchildren, Christy Kissick, Joe Leon, John 'Scooter' Christy, Ummie Leon, Mandy Kiskaden; and eight great grandchildren, Trent, Bryce, Noah, T. J., Trinity, Jack, Layla Mae, and Amador. Also surviving are two sisters, Opal Sloan of Olive Hill and Linda Dehart of Duarte, California, and several nieces and nephews. Eula was a homemaker and former Morehead State University dining services employee at Dunkin Donuts. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading the Bible, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Clearfield. Private graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Assistant Pastor Jack Vernetter officiating. Pallbearers: Johnny Ray Kissinger, Scott Neal, Scooter Christy, Rob Kiskaden, Toby Jent, and Jonathan Arnett.
