Eugene Ray "Tiny" Plank, affectionately known as "Junnie" to his close family, age 69, of Cranston Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington following a short illness.
He was born October 20, 1956, in Maysville, Kentucky, a son of Roy Thomas and Letha Rae Wallace Plank. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Leslie Smedley, Wendell Smedley, Christine Phillips, Danny Smedley, Margie Plank, Janet Plank, and Virginia Smedley.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Delphia Mauk Plank, whom he wed July 11, 1986; three sons: Dewayne Slone of Morehead, Jacob (Desarae) Plank of Morehead, and Jarrod (Perry) Plank of Morehead; two brothers, Donald Smedley of Albany, Indiana, and Larry Joe Plank of Winchester, Indiana; two sisters, Bonnie York of Morehead and Deborah Plank-Nesselhauf of Morehead; and four grandchildren he loved dearly, Alexis Slone, Chase Slone, Madison Plank, and Hazel Plank. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Tiny became the owner of Plank's Used Cars in 1985 following the passing of his father, Roy Plank, and proudly operated Plank's Used Cars for more than 40 years. He had a lifelong passion for hot rods and muscle cars, especially Fords. He loved racing and attending car shows, and he also enjoyed watching basketball and football.
Tiny began serving the Lord in 1997 and was a faithful member of the Unity Baptist Church in Olive Hill for over 20 years. He loved his family unconditionally and was always willing to go above and beyond for them. They will forever treasure his memory with love.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dewayne Johnson, Pastor Harley Sexton, Jr., and Pastor Elijah Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Adams-Plank Cemetery in Morehead.
Pallbearers will be Jarrod Plank, Jacob Plank, Dewayne Slone, Terry Knipp, Tom Gulley, Todd Gulley, Rodney Plank, Brian Oney, and Daniel Nesselhauf.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, Kentucky 40351
