Eugene Stamper, age 71, of Morgan County, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital in Lexington. Born September 20, 1942, in Morgan County, he was a son of the late Acy and Treva Holiday Stamper. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Stamper. Eugene is survived by one sister, Lucy Ellen Stamper Perkins of West Liberty; two nephews, Darrell Holiday and Doug Holiday, both of Morgan County. Eugene was a Vietnam War veteran, having served as a Military Police in the U.S. Air Force. Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Gullett Cemetery, White Oak, Kentucky, with Brother Gerald Saunders officiating. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, Kentucky.
