Eugene Morris, age 79, of Maxey Flat Road, Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. Born April 23, 1933, at Paragon in Morgan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Cleve and Eva Fraley Morris. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and James Morris, and one grandson, Dustin Morris. Gene is survived by two sons, Clarence Eugene Morris of Hillsboro, Kentucky, and Randy Morris of Morehead, Kentucky; three daughters and their husbands, Donna and David Jent, Lynn and Dan Stifle, Coleen and Ricky Jent, all of Hillsboro, Kentucky; one brother, Edward Morris of Warsaw, Indiana; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Gene was a retired sawmill worker and logger. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Bobby Tackett and Rev. Troy Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Morris, Ricky Jent, David Jent, Morgan Jent, Matthew Jent, Danny Thompson, James Armstrong, and Clarence Eugene Morris.
