Ethel Jewell (Kegley) Kidd Collins Mabry, age 96, of West Liberty, KY passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at her residence.

Born June 15, 1927, in Rowan County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Harve and Thursday Nickell Kegley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Estill Lee Kidd on July 9, 1989; James Ova Collins on December 20, 1992; and Lowell Elwood Mabry on December 2, 2013; seven brothers and three sisters; and one daughter, Jeanetta Kidd.

Jewell is survived by her two sons, Paul Douglas and Devra Kidd of West Liberty, KY and Danny Lee and Sharlet Kidd of Morehead, KY; four grandchildren, Brad and Michelle Kidd of Sandy Hook, KY, Amy and Brian Bowman of Morehead, KY, Jonathan and Karen Kidd of Morehead, KY and Brent and Jennifer Kidd of Morehead, KY; seven great grandchildren, Jackson, Peyton, Gage, Kalub, Brody, Ellie Kidd and Luke Bowman; one sister, Shirley Black of Morehead, KY; special caregiver, Jamie Moore, as well as extended family and friends.

She was a devoted homemaker, a former custodian at Morehead State University and a former food service employee at St. Claire Medical Center.  She enjoyed sewing, raising a garden and canning, but most of all she loved her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a former Sunday school teacher and faithful member of the Oak Hill Church of God.  Jewell will be sadly missed by all.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Herbert D. "Herbie" Lewis officiating.  Burial will follow in Kegley-Nickell Cemetery on McGlone Hitch Road, Morehead, KY 40351

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
