Estill Earl Emmons, age 88, of Crain Creek Road, Wallingford, Kentucky, formerly of Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007, at his residence. Born October 20, 1918, in Fleming County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Emmons and Beulah Fannin Emmons. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Fannin Emmons, on May 22 1999, and one son, Estill Eugene Emmons, in 1955. Survivors include two sons, Jimmie (Mary) Emmons and Roger Emmons, both of Hillsboro, Kentucky; four daughters, Diana (John) Vanhorn of Wauseon, Ohio, Janet (Earnie) Weaver of Wallingford, Kentucky, Wynonia (Harold) Johnson of Hillsboro, Kentucky, and Jennie (Eddie) Kinsman of Wauseon, Ohio; two brothers, Leonard Emmons of Pensacola, Florida, and Charles Emmons of Maysville, Kentucky; three sisters, Thelma Pendry of Sevierville, Tennessee, Ruth Barnes of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Edna Race of Covington, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Emmons was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was an employee at Litton Ford in Flemingsburg for 20 years. He was also a former employee of Midland Trail Garage and Lewis Garage in Morehead and Curtis Sawmill in Fleming County. He was nondenominational. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery in Hillsboro, Kentucky, with full military rites conducted at the graveside by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers will be Robert Fetro, Vincent Weaver, Roy Johnson, Hurl Johnson, Cody Hollan, Frankie Ruggles and Nicholas Hollan. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Monday, July 2, 2007, after 6 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at 1 p.m. Interment: Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, Kentucky
