Essie Fraley Collins, age 96, of Rucker Street, Flemingsburg, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015, at the Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg. Born November 18, 1918, in Elliott County, she was a daughter of the late Doc and Maggie Wilson Fraley. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, John, Walter, Roy, Virgil, Dan, Randolph, and Andy Fraley, and two sisters, Maude Fraley and Stella Clevenger. Essie's son, David Elmo Phipps, passed away on April 12, 1997. She is survived by one sister, Dessie Conley of Flemingsburg; one grandson, David Phipps of Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Flossie Fraley of Maysville and Katheryn Fraley of Clay City; numerous nieces and nephews; and one special caregiver, Erica Garcia. Essie began working for General Motors in Columbus, Ohio, in 1949 and retired in 1981 after 32 years of service. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Gerald Saunders officiating. Burial will follow at the Fraley Cemetery in Elliott County. Pallbearers: Jody Conley, Gary Conley, Cotton Conley, Ricky Cooper, Dewayne Weaver, and Erik Hart. Visitation is 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Wednesday, April 8, 2015, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Funeral: Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at 1 p.m. Interment: Fraley Cemetery, Elliott County
