Ersel Dee Henderson, age 72, of Rock Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Born September 14, 1941, in Rowan County, he is a son of Leona Burton Henderson of Morehead and the late Jessie Dee Henderson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Gay Henderson; four children, Mary L. Henderson Craft and husband Daniel, Michael Henderson and wife Debbie, Mark A. Henderson, and Joyce Henderson Kuechler and husband C. J., all of Morehead; one brother, Jessie Ivan Henderson of Menifee County; five grandchildren, Mikey Henderson, Derek Craft, and Clayton, Elizabeth, and Jacob Kuechler; and one great granddaughter, Jayden Henderson. Ersel formerly worked at Morehead Chevron, a sawmill, and the I-64 rest area. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and was an avid coin collector. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow in Henderson Cemetery on Rock Fork Road. Pallbearers: Mikey Henderson, Mike Henderson, Daniel Craft, Brandon Stacy, Coty Stacy, and Tommy Stacy.
