Ernest Clyde Barnett, Jr., age 57, of Old House Creek Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 27, 2008, at his residence. He was born June 23, 1951, in Morgan County, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Ernest Clyde and Eliza Blair Barnett. His wife, Gervel Parish Barnett, passed away on November 15, 1993. He is survived by one daughter, Misty (Travis) Zornes of Morehead, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Laken Ramey, Colton Zornes, and Shelby Stevens; and companion, Renita Howard of Morehead, Kentucky, and her children, Rocky Shane Parker, Jeffrey Scott Howard and April Dawn Stevens. Other survivors include four brothers, Arnold Barnett and Mervell Barnett of Mansfield, Ohio, Vernon John Barnett of Morehead, Kentucky, and James Barnett of Ocala, Florida, and six sisters, Fearl Jean Owens of Lucas, Ohio, Helen Peters of Denver, Colorado, Wanda Keeton of Brighton, Colorado, Shirley Baldridge of Morehead, Kentucky, Brenda Jones of Jamestown, Ohio, and Ruth Coggins of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Junior was a former Ruth Ready Mix employee, mechanic, and logger. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. A private service will be held at a later date.
