Emory Paul Mynhier, age 76, of Mynhier Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the Life Care Center of Morehead. He was born December 9, 1938, in Rowan County, a son of the late Charles Mynhier and Zona Miller Bowles Mynhier. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Charles, Harley, and Howard Bowles, Austin, Omar, Earl, and Chester Mynhier; one adult sister, Lenzie Mynhier Haney; and two sisters who died in infancy. John Mynhier, a brother, lives in Frankfort. Paul's wife of 42 years, Patricia Ann Pettit Mynhier, whom he wed April 10, 1966, passed away August 7, 2008. Their daughter, Twila Mynhier Brooks, is an attorney in Lexington, and her husband Eric, is curator of Ashland, the Henry Clay Estate, in Lexington. Paul was a well-known carpenter who enjoyed working with his father and brothers for a number of years. He was also a former employee of the Convenient Store and Morehead State University, where he met his beloved wife. He was a member of the Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
