Elvira Martinez Gregory, age 86, of Pleasant Valley, Morehead, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, at her home with her loving family by her bedside. Born June 13, 1931, in the Panama Canal Zone, she was the daughter of the late Santiago and Manuela Aguilera Martinez. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Her loving husband, Charles Gregory, passed away on December 17, 1993. Mrs. Gregory is survived by her three daughters, Regina Caskey of Clearfield, Tammy Rasche Kelsey and husband Tim of Morehead, and Jacqueline Markwell of West Liberty; six grandchildren, Ashley Bowen, Ryane Davis, Stephen Rasche and wife Hollie, Derek Caskey, Hilary Caskey, Dakota Rasche; four great grandchildren, Hannah Rasche, Adelynn Rasche, Noah Bowen, and Kobie Davis Elvira attended the University of Panama and obtained a degree in accounting. She was employed as an accountant for Paramount Pictures in Panama until she met Charles and moved to Kentucky in 1962. She was secretary for Veterans Affairs at Morehead State University for 10 years and her last place of employment was at MSU Alumni Tower Food Services, where she served as hostess. A lifetime member of the Morehead American Legion Auxiliary, she had been the treasurer and assisted with Bingo. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She was a longtime member of Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Clearfield Cemetery. Pallbearers: Stephen Rasche, Dakota Rasche, Derek Caskey, Tim Davis, Jerry Bowen, and Larry Law. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. March 4, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
